In English classes students are encouraged to write about their passions and interests. This week we have a sample of student writing, a game review by Caleb.

Zone of the Enders is a fast-paced beat ‘em up mech fighter set in the far future in which a splinter cell mars military organization lead by an insane madman threatens to destroy the universe.
The gameplay of ZOTE2 is based around the use and mastery of the orbital frame Jehuty an easy to use, hard to master high speed mech suit focused on crowd control ranged energy blasts and close-range single target melee slashes.
High energy and dramatic music litter the game letting you know the tone and giving you energy in every encounter.
The graphics of ZOTE2 are timeless, choosing to make the mechs sleek and angular to make sure even in modern times that the game looks futuristic and keeping it in the forefront of the mech fighting genre.
Taking you through many environments the game keeps everything fresh by forcing you to keep moving in a race against the clock before your sister frame Anubis gets a world ending space bender to destroy reality.

Each level gives you new and interesting weapons to work with, every few minutes giving you stand out and revolutionary features such as “wisps” a homing grab that can give you the upper hand against most frames you encounter and the “vector cannon” a zero shift cannon that latches to the floor and blasts through any shield in the game, an iconic stand out weapon.

The fast-paced gameplay and interesting story, graphical design and music give Zone of the Enders a timeless feeling ripe for replay due to its boundless weapons and overpowering late game abilities. Zone of the Enders 2 deserves a 9/10 if not a 10
Close to being a masterwork. ~ Caleb
