To celebrate World Book Day this year, students and staff got creative by designing their own book cover postcards.
Everyone selected a book to share, either a recent favourite or a much-loved story from their childhood. The postcards were inspired by original book covers or featured completely new designs of classic stories. A fantastic range of books was chosen, and the creativity on display was amazing.

Some people showcased their artistic talents using pencils and pens, while others demonstrated impressive photography and digital editing skills.

On the back of each postcard, we wrote a short message about the book and why we would recommend it. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and sharing their love of reading. The activity sparked lots of lively conversations about favourite books and new recommendations to add to our reading lists!

We also visited second-hand bookshops during lunch, where we discovered a wonderful variety of books to add to the different libraries in LAMP. It was exciting to hunt for new titles and hidden gems that others will now be able to enjoy. These new additions will help our libraries continue to grow and give everyone even more great books to explore.

All these activities were a fantastic celebration of all things books! - Ella
