Katsu curry

Japanese curry served with rice is very popular dish for all generations in Japan and it’s cooked at home and school and also widely available in many restaurants. Katsu curry which is breaded chicken (using pork in Japan) with curry source on top has become popular in the UK nowadays. Students cooked delicious Katsu curry in Japanese enrichment.


Ingredients

80g x 6( 3 cup ) rice

90mlx6 ( 3 cup ) water

3  onions

3  carrots

4  potatoes

1 table spoon vegetable oil

salt and pepper

800ml water

8 tablets Japanese hot curry roux (tablets)

Add chicken Katsu/ seafood/pork/beef as you like!


Prepare rice: (30 min)

Rinse the rice several times, adding water and cook in a rice cooker or slow cooker.

Prepare curry: (40 min) Cut veg (and meat) and stir fry, adding water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 mins. Then break in the curry roux(tablet) and cook for 5 mins.
