We were delighted to be asked by Warwickshire County Council's Specialist Teaching Service to run music workshops for children with autism at their annual activity weeks at Exhall Grange School this July. We saw 8 groups of young people aged between 5-14, and had a lot of fun teaching them about rhythms, tempo, genre, and expression.
We managed to fit in a lot of activities, including instrument building, drumming workshops, musical games, and even drawing to music. The children (and staff!) were really enthusiastic, and we're sure they will all make great musicians!
