Working with Children, Young People and Communities to develop their capacity to be agents for social change through personal and social development is a passion of mine. I have been a Youth and Community Work Practitioner since 1999. I started to carve this career path with Staffordshire Youth Service. During the 9 years I was in Staffordshire I have worked on many projects and provisions from Detached Youth Work, Alternative Curriculum delivery In schools, youth engagement, youth violence, centre based provisions, intergenerational / intercultural projects and youth forums.

More recently I have spent the last 11 years involved in a multitude of different settings and have gained a BA (hons) in Youth and Community Services at the University of Worcester (this is a JNC recognised qualification). My reflective practice is constantly evolving, I have developed specialisms in Education for Peace, engagement, personal development, dialogic teaching and advocacy.

In 2008 I was commended by OfSted for my practice in working with young people (deemed by society as the most challenging) around equality and diversity. This was during my time at an Extended Learning Centre as a Tutor and Alternative provision Course Leader.

In 2016 I won an NHS award for “Best Service In Public Health” by the South Warwickshire GP Federation for my work in developing a localised and impactful Social prescription Service in partnership with medical centres.

I have designed, developed and delivered many projects (to many to give voice to) these include; Family Intervention Counselling Service “Safer Families” for work with Children and Families where domestic violence has taken place in the home. Princes Trust “Get Started in Music” In Norfolk and Kings Lynn. I am Operations DIrector of a youth organisation known as Sync Education. I have developed and delivered workshops and training for a multitude of organisations around wellbeing, youth advocacy, masculinity, psychology, music performance to name but a few.

I hold love and passion for learning, reading, writing, photography, creating sample based music and videography. Father of 2 and advocate for justice.

I feel honoured to be part of the LAMP team, This space and the people within have created a unique and nurturing approach to SEND education.
