On Monday 6th February, Parliament will debate autism assessments. According to the National Autistic Society, over 120,000 people are currently waiting for an autism assessment in England. That means over 120,000 people are currently waiting for support. The guidance says that no one should wait more than 3 months for an assessment but, often, this takes years. No one should have to wait that long, which is why we’re encouraging you to email your MP and let them know how important this issue is for autistic people and their families. At LAMP, we know first hand the impact of the assessment wait times and the pressures they create.
The NAS have provided a template you can use here.
The debate is on Monday so don't delay.
